That is why they were granted licenses to practice psychotherapy by the Texas State Board of Examiners. Our business associates are NOT students- but rather professionals who are working towards independent licensure... and... who have already completed a minimum of 300 direct hours with clients prior to obtaining their current license.

Daria Dolan, M.Ed, LPC Intern
Daria Dolan is a Licensed Professional Counselor who received her M.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of St. Thomas. Daria has experience with a variety of clients from different backgrounds. She began her career working with children and adolescents on the Autism spectrum and is currently serving adults with dual-diagnosis and addiction. Her areas of expertise include Depression, Anxiety and PTSD. Daria practices using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and aims to guide and support personal growth.

Kawanza Dukes, MA, Licensed Specialist in School Psychology, LPC Intern
Kawanza D. Dukes is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Intern with thirteen years of practicing school psychology in the Texas and Florida public school systems. Ms. Dukes’ counseling approach is coupled with her Licensed Specialist in School Psychology experience. Ms. Dukes offers specific counseling approaches such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior therapy, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Cognitive therapy, and Family therapy for children, adolescent, and families.
Through the use of formal and informal appraisal measures, her clients and families are offered cognitive, achievement, and/or social/emotional assessment and results to help identify the best counseling approach. Ms. Dukes offers the choice of psycho-educational or mental health assessments for current functioning information. She has experience diagnosing symptoms related to Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorders for (Other Health Impairment), Emotional Disturbances (i.e. Adjustment Disorder, Disruptive Mood Dysregulation Disorder, Generalize Anxiety Disorder), and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (Specific Learning Disability or Autism Spectrum Disorder). These results can be used within the private setting for counseling services and transfer to the child’s direct school providers for optimal student success.
